Thanks to Wendy and Chien Chien, I went a great book store last weekend in Flushing - 書原. 種類很多, 有古典文學, 畫冊, 和線裝書. 重點是..........價錢是不可思異的便宜. 不過.... (there is always a catch to anything) 書的排列不整齊, 而且是簡體. 那天Chien Chien說是他多年來最快樂的一天, 感同身受, 我在書店笑的下巴都要掉下來. 快事一件.

I know that book store. I was in it for 5 sec. 1)too disorganized and 2)can't read foriegn language.

Re: 簡體字，我已經過了一邊看一邊悲哀的階段，也過了一邊看一邊氣憤的階段…now is the time to recognize that it's a fact, and that there are plenty of things I want to learn about / work with / appreciate that happens to be expressed in that language... and fortunately I can read that language because I know 繁禮字... and I wouldn't have to learn it all over again as if it was Sanskrit or something...
But then物極必反，那天晚上我跟一個大陸女孩聊起來（Yes... absolute stranger... a prospective customer of my 網上買賣... )，她看得懂我寫的，我也看得懂她寫的…然後她說她喜歡繁禮字…You know that as the generations upcoming are becoming more and more educated... more and more will come to appreciate繁禮字... the beauty and logic of it... Who knows... may be one day they will come to abandon it and switch back?... but in the mean time... I would much prefer the strategy to attract with positive attributes rather than to attack or just plain despise...
